Multiple Infant Formula Brands Recalled Over Bacterial Contamination Concerns

Perrigo Company is voluntarily recalling certain lots of Gerber Good Start SoothePro Powdered Infant Formula due to potential contamination with cronobacter sakazakii, a bacterium that can cause rare infections in infants and young children. The recall only affects powdered infant formula products under the Gerber Good Start Infant Formula Brand that were manufactured between Jan. 2 and Jan. 18, 2023, at the company's Gateway Eau Claire, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. No adverse events have been reported, and consumers who have purchased the recalled products should stop using them and contact Gerber for a refund.
