Costco Introduces Weight-Loss Drug Prescriptions for Members

Costco has introduced a subscription-based weight loss program in partnership with healthcare provider Sesame, offering access to prescription weight-loss drugs for members and non-members. The program, priced at $179 for members and $195 for non-members, includes three months of clinical consultation, video consultations, nutritional guidance, and access to GLP-1 prescription weight-loss drugs. Sesame claims it to be the most affordable weight loss program in the US, with the potential for patients to lose 5-15% of their body weight within a year. This move follows the trend of retailers offering remote access to healthcare providers, with Amazon and Walmart also entering the space.
