Serendipity 3, an upscale New York restaurant, has relaunched its 'Quintessential Grilled Cheese' sandwich for a limited period to celebrate National Grilled Cheese Day. Priced at $214, the sandwich is filled with rare Caciocavallo Podolico Cheese from Southern Italy, toasted, and coated in 23k edible gold. It is served with South African Lobster Tomato Bisque as a dipping sauce and is presented on a Baccarat crystal plate. The restaurant has held the Guinness World Record for the world's most expensive sandwich since 2014.
