Six Flags Great America gears up for an exciting 2023 season with new rides, events, and park improvements.

Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, will not be adding any new roller coaster rides for the fourth consecutive year, but visitors can expect new food and drink options, a beer garden, and refreshed landscaping throughout the park. The park will also host new special events and festivals, including "Flavors of the World" and "Viva La Fiesta." Attendance at the park has been close to pre-pandemic levels, with an estimated 2,675,000 visitors in 2021. The park will be open primarily on weekends until May 23, when daily admission will begin and run through the summer.
