The upgrades, which include new suites, a beer hall, and an upgraded club level, aim to extend the stadium's useful life by decades. Ravens president Sashi Brown emphasized the team's commitment to attracting more events, although the construction will limit the hosting schedule for the next couple of years. The first event showcasing some of the new renovations will be a soccer match between AC Milan and FC Barcelona on August 6.
Disneyland Resort has released its calendar of special events for 2024, including highlights such as Pixar Fest, Lunar New Year, Celebrate Gospel, Anaheim Ducks Days, and the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. The City of Austin is considering new rules that would require special events to provide at least one pint of water per hour per attendee, as well as one toilet per 50 persons and handwashing stations. These rules would apply to Tier 2, 3, and 4 events with less than 2,500 people. Event organizers and attendees are supportive of the hydration requirements, although some express concerns about the cost. The city must decide on the proposed rule by September 14.
The 2023 Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico, will coincide with an annular solar eclipse on October 14. The event will feature special activities on the field, including a balloon glow with over 70 hot air balloons, providing a unique experience similar to the conditions during a nighttime balloon glow. Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, will not be adding any new roller coaster rides for the fourth consecutive year, but visitors can expect new food and drink options, a beer garden, and refreshed landscaping throughout the park. Attendance at the park has been close to pre-pandemic levels, with an estimated 2,675,000 visitors in 2021. Disneyland will hold its first-ever Pride Nite on June 13 and 15, featuring special events such as a Pride Night Cavalcade, Ohana Dance Party, and country line dancing. The event will be separately ticketed, with a limited number of tickets going on presale for Magic Key holders on April 18 and to the general public on April 20.
