US Clean Energy Transmission Project Reaches Major Milestone

The US Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management has announced a Record of Decision for SunZia, the largest clean energy transmission project in the US Southwest. The 550-mile transmission line will transport up to 4,500 MW of primarily clean energy to Arizona and California from SunZia Wind, the largest wind project in the Western Hemisphere. The project is expected to create over 2,000 new jobs, have an economic impact of $20.5 billion, and come online in 2026.
