OG&E's Power Plant Upgrade Plans Set in Motion

OG&E has filed a proposal with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission to replace two power generation units at the Horseshoe Lake Power Plant in Oklahoma County. The current units, which have been active for over 60 years, are becoming increasingly difficult and costly to maintain due to the unavailability of replacement parts. If approved, the new units are expected to be operational by late 2026. OG&E anticipates that once the new units are operational, customers will see an average increase of $2.20 per month on their bills.
