Approximately 6,000 El Paso Electric customers are without power in El Paso and Southern New Mexico due to high temperatures. Restoration efforts are underway, with an estimated completion time of 4 a.m., although it may take up to six to eight hours to restore power to all affected customers. El Paso Electric crews are working diligently to safely and swiftly restore power.
