The Biden administration has approved the construction of the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project, which would be the largest offshore wind farm in the United States. The project, to be built by Dominion Energy, would consist of up to 176 wind turbines and have a capacity of 2.6 gigawatts, enough to power over 900,000 homes.
