Tesla Cybertruck and Cyberbeast: Eligible for Full Federal Made-in-USA Tax Credit Subsidy

The IRS has approved the eligibility of both Tesla Cybertruck models for the full federal EV tax credit subsidy. The Cybertruck and its batteries are made at Tesla's Austin Gigafactory, meeting the requirements for made-in-USA battery raw materials, production, and vehicle assembly. While the dual-motor Cybertruck falls below the $80,000 subsidy threshold, the tri-motor Cyberbeast does not. However, both models are currently listed as eligible for the full $7,500 tax credit. Tesla plans to ramp up Cybertruck production and reduce costs, potentially allowing for a lower retail price and eventual eligibility for the tax credit.
