"Toyota Recalls 280,000 Vehicles Over Transmission Power Delivery Issue"

Toyota is recalling around 280,000 pickup trucks and SUVs in the U.S. due to a transmission issue that can cause the vehicles to move forward while in neutral. The recall covers certain Toyota Tundra pickups, Lexus LX 600 SUVs, and Toyota Sequoia SUVs from the 2022 and 2023 model years. The problem arises from certain parts of the vehicles' automatic transmissions not disengaging immediately when shifted into neutral, potentially transferring engine power to the wheels and causing the vehicles to creep forward at low speeds on flat surfaces. Toyota will update the transmission software to address the issue, with owners set to be notified by late April.
