Tesla Recalls Over 2 Million Vehicles for Autopilot Safety Defects

Tesla is recalling nearly all 2 million of its vehicles on US roads to limit the use of its Autopilot feature, following a two-year probe by US safety regulators into crashes involving the feature. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) found that Autopilot can give drivers a false sense of security and be easily misused in certain dangerous situations. The over-the-air software update will provide more warnings to drivers when they are not paying attention to the road while Autopilot is engaged.
