Lamborghini's Electrifying Evolution: From Supercars to SUVs
Lamborghini has unveiled its first-ever electric vehicle (EV), the Lanzador concept, at Monterey Car Week. The high ground-clearance GT features a 2+2 seating format with two doors, and is part of Lamborghini's electrification strategy. The Lanzador is set to be released in 2028, but the company surprised many by debuting the model years ahead of schedule. CEO Stephan Winkelmann believes the design perfectly matches the DNA of the brand, combining high ground clearance with a sporty two-door look. The EV is equipped with an electric motor on each axle, providing an all-electric drive setup with over 1,000 horsepower. The interior features sustainably sourced materials. Pricing and availability details have not been disclosed.
