Precision agriculture technology helps farmers save resources and maximize yields, but small and medium-sized farmers face barriers to adoption, such as spotty broadband and compatibility issues between different machines and brands. Lawmakers from both parties are pushing for legislation to create standards and incentives for companies to make precision ag tech more affordable and compatible, with hopes of including it in the omnibus Farm Bill later this year.
