Record Labels Sue AI Company Anthropic for Unauthorized Distribution of Song Lyrics

Universal Music Group and other music publishers have filed a lawsuit against artificial intelligence company Anthropic for distributing copyrighted song lyrics through its AI model, Claude 2. The complaint alleges that Claude 2 generates lyrics that are nearly identical to existing songs and uses phrases similar to copyrighted lyrics without permission.
