"Rare Revolutionary War Drawing Discovered in N.Y. Apartment Sketch"

A rare pen-and-ink sketch depicting American troops and their female companions during the Revolutionary War was discovered in a New York City apartment. The sketch, believed to be one of the earliest eyewitness depictions of American troops, was found by Matthew Skic, a curator at the Museum of the American Revolution. After extensive research, Skic confirmed that the sketch was created by Pierre Eugene du Simitiere, a prominent artist of the era. The sketch will now be displayed at the museum, shedding new light on the history of the American Revolution.
