Scientists Discover Tiny Island Concealing a Lost Continent in the Indian Ocean
Scientists have discovered evidence of a submerged microcontinent called Mauritia beneath the Indian Ocean, based on ancient zircon grains found in beach sands of Mauritius, indicating that remnants of this landmass, which once sat between India and Madagascar, are still present beneath the ocean floor.
