Bob Huggins Expresses Desire for West Virginia Hoops Return and Addresses Resignation Statement
Bob Huggins, Naismith Hall of Fame basketball coach, has issued a statement apologizing for his recent DUI incident and asking to return to his position as head coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers. Huggins claims that he did not compose the resignation letter posted by WVU and that he never submitted the required notice to voluntarily resign. West Virginia has stated that they will not accept Huggins' attempts to revoke his resignation or reinstate him as head coach. Huggins has voluntarily checked into a rehabilitation center and intends to remain there until cleared to return to coaching duties.
