Cowboys wide receiver KaVontae Turpin was arrested in Texas on misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession and unlawful carrying of a weapon, posting bond and being released. The charges could lead to NFL disciplinary action after legal proceedings. Turpin, an accomplished player with a history of legal issues, was signed to an $18 million contract earlier this year.

One person was detained and another person was injured during a family disturbance at a home on the West Side of San Antonio. The incident involved one person pulling out a weapon and stabbing or cutting another person in the back. The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The person in custody is being questioned by officers and the incident is under investigation.

Kennedy High School in Waterbury, Connecticut, was put on lockdown after a student from Wilby High School was reported to be in possession of a weapon. However, no weapon was found and all students and staff are safe. Waterbury Public Schools reminded the community that unauthorized access to a school building is treated as a serious offense with disciplinary consequences. This comes a day after a student at Crosby High School was arrested for bringing a handgun into the school.

In Dead Island 2, players can follow the Mailman's Paper Trail quest to obtain a powerful new weapon. The quest requires finding three mail packages in villas around Bel-Air. The first package is located outside the "GOAT Pen" villa, the second is in front of a locked gate in the west of Bel-Air, and the third is in the first house where the player entered Bel-Air. After retrieving all three packages and defeating Wayne the Mailman, players can open a box behind the delivery truck to obtain the weapon.

A student from Brennan High School was arrested after a weapon was found in his vehicle and drugs were found in his possession. The school administrators were notified about a student possibly selling controlled substances on campus. The student was taken into custody without incident, and there was no direct threat made to the campus. The incident was a perfect example of "if you see something, say something."

A man was taken into custody by police in East Lansing after an altercation with employees at a business in downtown East Lansing. The man was seen with a knife and crossed onto Michigan State University's campus before being located and taken into custody by police. No one was hurt in the incident. MSU and East Lansing police had issued alerts to the public about a suspect with a weapon, but the secure-in-place order has since been lifted.
