Two people have died and six others have been hospitalized after a serious car crash in East Lansing. The incident is currently under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the East Lansing Police Department. Portions of Lake Lansing Road have been blocked off due to the accident.
A man was taken into custody by police in East Lansing after an altercation with employees at a business in downtown East Lansing. The man was seen with a knife and crossed onto Michigan State University's campus before being located and taken into custody by police. No one was hurt in the incident. MSU and East Lansing police had issued alerts to the public about a suspect with a weapon, but the secure-in-place order has since been lifted.
