Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Varanasi, stated that India will become a developed nation by 2047 if its 1.4 billion citizens commit to achieving this goal. He emphasized the importance of government schemes reaching people without any issues and encouraged a spirit of development similar to the freedom movement. PM Modi launched and inaugurated various projects worth over Rs 19,000 crore for Varanasi and Purvanchal, including the Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2.0, which aims to promote cultural exchange between Tamil Nadu and Varanasi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new integrated terminal building at Surat Airport and the Surat Diamond Bourse, which will be the world's largest office for international diamond and jewelry businesses. He will also participate in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Varanasi and inaugurate the Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2023. The terminal building is designed with local culture and sustainability features, while the bourse will have facilities for customs clearance, retail jewelry businesses, and international banking. In Varanasi, PM Modi will interact with beneficiaries of government schemes and inaugurate the Kanyakumari-Varanasi Tamil Sangamam train.
Over 1 crore citizens have participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has reached over 36,000 Gram Panchayats across India. Uttar Pradesh leads with over 37 lakh participants, followed by Maharashtra and Gujarat. The Yatra aims to make India a developed nation by 2047 and has focused on raising awareness about government schemes, with over 46,000 beneficiaries enrolling for the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana scheme. Health camps have also been successful, screening 22 lakh individuals so far.
