GOP Lawmaker's Fiery Clash with Union Boss Shocks Senate Hearing
Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma engaged in a heated exchange with Teamsters President Sean O'Brien during a Senate hearing. Mullin read incendiary tweets from O'Brien, including one where he intimated he could fight the lawmaker. Mullin, a former MMA fighter, rose from his chair and began to take off his wedding ring, causing O'Brien to look terrified. Mullin criticized O'Brien's intimidating behavior and accused him of being a "thug" and a "mob boss." He also questioned the influence of unions in politics and argued for the importance of choice in joining a union. O'Brien later called Mullin an "embarrassment to the state of Oklahoma."
