'Boston airport confiscates vampire straw from traveler'
A traveler was arrested at Boston Logan International Airport for carrying a "vampire straw" in his carry-on luggage, which can be used as a weapon. The man was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and the straw was confiscated by Massachusetts State Police. Vampire straws are illegal to carry in Massachusetts, although they may be permitted in checked luggage in some states. The straw, made by Szabo Inc., is advertised as a self-defense weapon and is designed to be used like a dagger.
