'Lok Sabha Security Scare: Charges Filed Against 4 Accused of Terrorism and Assault'

Four individuals who breached security in the Lok Sabha have been charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and various sections of the Indian Penal Code. The Delhi police special cell has registered a case against them for terrorism and conspiracy, along with other charges related to criminal conspiracy, trespass, provocation, obstruction of public servants, and assault. The security breach, which occurred on the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 terror attack on the parliament complex, involved individuals jumping into the chamber, shouting slogans, and setting off smoke canisters. The breach prompted an overhaul of security protocols in the new Parliament complex, including reduced contact between MPs and visitors, the establishment of a media briefing center, and the implementation of Smart Identity Cards and facial recognition systems for MPs.
