30-year-old DeKalb cold case victim finally identified through DNA testing.

The unidentified remains of Rebecca "Becky" Burke, found in DeKalb County in 1993, have been identified using forensic genetic genealogy. Burke's cause of death is suspected to be blunt force trauma, and investigators are seeking information from anyone who may have known or interacted with her around the time of her death. The DeKalb County Cold Case Taskforce has been awarded $500,000 in federal grant money to work on identifying the county's 27 cold case victims.
