Federal Judge Upholds Biden's Immigration Programs Against Texas Lawsuits
A Trump-appointed judge, Drew Tipton, ruled against Texas and other GOP-led states in their lawsuit challenging a Biden administration program that allows up to 30,000 migrants seeking asylum from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter the U.S. on an emergency basis each month. Tipton stated that Texas lacked standing to bring the lawsuit and had not demonstrated injury from the program, noting a significant decrease in the number of migrants entering the country under the program. This ruling marks a surprising win for the Biden administration in the ongoing battle over immigration policies.
