Tropical Depression 12 has formed in the Atlantic and is expected to become a tropical storm before dissipating. A tropical wave off the west coast of Africa may develop next week with a 50% chance of development. Tropical Storm Jose is predicted to be absorbed by Hurricane Franklin, which will become an extratropical cyclone. Bermuda is under a tropical storm warning as post-tropical cyclone Idalia moves over the west Atlantic. The remnants of Gert have strengthened into a tropical depression and could become a tropical storm.
