
Second truck carrying toxic soil from East Palestine derailment crashes on highway.
A truck carrying 40,000 pounds of toxic soil from a train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio overturned, spilling roughly half its contents onto the highway. The driver sustained minor injuries and was cited for operating a vehicle without reasonable control. The spilled soil did not threaten any waterways. The cleanup process of removing contaminated soil and water from the site remains ongoing more than two months after the derailment.
