Rivian has agreed to repurchase an owner's R1T electric pickup truck at full retail price after the owner faced multiple severe issues, including four instances requiring towing. Despite the problems, the owner still recommends the R1T to other buyers. The issues primarily involved the braking system and drive unit. The owner used the truck heavily for work purposes, putting over 24,000 miles on it in 15 months. Rivian's customer support covered the cost of transportation during repairs and ultimately decided to buy back the truck, even though it was not legally obligated to do so under Ohio's lemon law.
