Pro-Palestinian Protesters Halt Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
Pro-Palestinian protesters temporarily halted the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City when about 30 of them ran into the street and glued themselves to the pavement along the parade route. The protesters were demonstrating along Sixth Avenue when they breached the barricades. They have since been taken into custody. President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden called into the parade, urging Americans to come together and give thanks for the country. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has been a holiday tradition since 1927.
