Georgia faces consequences for resuming Russia flights amid protests and boycotts.
The founder of Georgian Airways, Tamaz Gaiashvili, has banned Georgia's President Salome Zourabichvili from using the airline after she called for a boycott of the airline over its resumption of flights to Russia. Gaiashvili stated that Zourabichvili would be banned until she apologises before the Georgian people. Russia lifted a four-year-old ban on direct flights with Georgia and removed a decades-old visa requirement for Georgians travelling to Russia earlier this month.
