Lasers Extend Quantum State Duration by 1,000 Times
Scientists have used tailored laser pulses and SwissFEL X-ray techniques to create long-lived quantum states in a copper oxide material, extending their duration by about a thousand times, which could lead to advances in quantum data storage and optoelectronic devices.
