Tesla Model Y Supplier in Sweden Joins Strike, Adding to Company's Woes

A supplier of critical components for Tesla's Model Y in Sweden, Hydro Extrusions, has joined the ongoing strike by Swedish unions in support of the IF Metall strike. Around 50 workers at the company have set down their tools, potentially causing disruption to the delivery of aluminum profiles for the Model Y to Giga Berlin. While the company is not directly involved in the dispute, the workers have joined the strike as a sympathy action. The move could have long-term negative consequences for Hydro Extrusions, as Tesla may be able to quickly replace the parts and bring on other suppliers. Unions in Norway have also threatened to stop unloading Tesla vehicles in ports if the strike continues, potentially escalating the situation further.
