"Severe Sore Throat Leads to Quadruple Limb Amputation for Woman"
Sherri Moody, a teacher from Texas, thought she had a sore throat but ended up with double pneumonia and sepsis, leading to the amputation of her hands and feet. Her autoimmune condition and medication made her more susceptible to infection. After spending months in the hospital and rehab, she is now using a wheelchair and waiting to be fitted with prosthetics. Her husband has set up a fundraising page to help with her recovery.
