Cosmic radiation found to have direct correlation with earthquakes.
The CREDO project has found a clear statistical correlation between global seismic activity and changes in the intensity of cosmic radiation recorded at the surface of our planet, potentially helping to predict earthquakes. The periodicity of the correlation is similar to the solar activity cycle, but does not coincide with the maximum activity of our star. The lack of classical explanations for the observed periodicities provokes consideration of the possible role of other, less conventional phenomena, such as the passage of the Earth through a dark matter stream modulated by the sun and other massive bodies in our planetary system.
