Hajj Pilgrims Brave Saudi Heat in Massive Crowds at Mecca's Grand Mosque.
Pilgrims performed their final rituals at Mecca's Grand Mosque before heading to Mina for the Hajj, the fifth pillar of Islam. They walked around the Kaaba, ran between two hills, and entered a state of spiritual purity known as ihram. Saudi Arabia has restored full pilgrim capacity for this year's Hajj, with over 2 million Muslims expected to participate.
