"2024 Iowa High School Boys Wrestling State Tournament: Dominance, Champions, and Embraces"
Southeast Polk dominated the Iowa boys state wrestling tournament, winning their sixth traditional state title with three state champions, five finalists, and 10 wrestlers making the podium. The team was just four points away from breaking a state tournament record. The Rams' strong performance was highlighted by freshman Nico DeSalvo, junior Carter Pearson, and senior Brent Slade winning their first titles. Despite the competitive matchups, Southeast Polk wrestlers were able to have fun and perform at their best, ultimately clinching the title before the finals session even started.
