
West Nile Virus Spreading in Multiple Locations: Stay Protected
A mosquito trap sample taken from the Sonterra Community in Williamson County, Texas, has tested positive for West Nile Virus. This is the seventh positive trap in the county this year. The Sonterra Municipal Utility District will be spraying for mosquitoes, and residents are advised to drain standing water, use larvicides, and wear insect repellent and long sleeves to protect themselves. Symptoms of West Nile Virus include fever, headache, body aches, a skin rash, and swollen lymph nodes.
