Chinese phone makers Vivo and Transion are reportedly set to beat Samsung in releasing a slider phone with a rollable display. While Samsung has been showcasing rollable display concepts, Vivo and Transion are said to be working on prototypes that feature a slidable panel with a rollable display made by CSOT. The advantage of this design is that it can be more compact and avoids the thickness and heft associated with foldable phones.
