Ed Sheeran faces copyright trial over alleged Marvin Gaye song similarities.

The copyright trial between Ed Sheeran and the heirs of Ed Townsend, co-writer of Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On," continued with music expert Dr. Alexander Stewart testifying about the similarities he perceives in aspects of the two songs. Sheeran's legal team has argued that the sounds used in both songs are common in pop music.
