A coordinator from the group Sikhs for Justice has been arrested in connection with an incident at a Hindu temple in Brampton, Canada. The arrest follows tensions between different community groups and has drawn attention from authorities in Chandigarh, India.
Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, co-founder of the banned terrorist group Sikhs For Justice, has threatened to bomb an Air India flight on November 19 during the cricket World Cup final. Pannun's video message warns Sikh people not to fly with Air India after that date, stating that their lives could be in danger. The Indian government must address these threats seriously to prevent further emboldening of Pannun and his group.

The strained ties between India and Canada were further exacerbated after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged the involvement of "agents of the Indian government" in the killing of a Khalistani terrorist.
