NIA Files Terror Case Against Khalistani Extremist Pannun for Air India Threat
Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a designated terrorist and self-proclaimed general counsel of the outlawed "unlawful association" Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has been charged under the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for threatening people flying Air India and the airline with closure of operations from November 19. Pannun released video messages urging Sikhs to stop flying on Air India planes, citing a potential threat to their lives. Investigations have been launched by security forces in Canada, India, and other countries where Air India operates. Pannun has been under the NIA's scrutiny since 2019, and non-bailable arrest warrants have been issued against him.
