Houthi Missile Strikes Raise Concerns for Shipping Safety in Red Sea
A Norwegian-flagged tanker was hit by a missile fired by Yemen's Houthi rebels in the Red Sea, near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The attack expands the rebels' campaign targeting ships close to the strait, potentially endangering cargo and energy shipments passing through the Suez Canal. France's frigate Languedoc shot down a drone threatening the tanker and prevented a hijacking attempt.
