Senate Hearing on Anomalous Phenomena and Potential Threats to National Security

The Defense Department's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office is working to identify unidentified anomalous phenomena that might pose a threat to national security and the operations of the military and federal agencies. The team is leading a focused effort to better characterize, understand and attribute UAP, with priority given to UAP sightings in or near areas of national security importance or reported by military personnel, including pilots. The team is examining 650 cases, prioritizing about half of them that appear to be especially interesting and anomalous. AARO has found no credible evidence thus far of extraterrestrial activity, off-world technology, or objects that defy the known laws of physics.

Pentagon's UFO Chief Addresses Increase in Sightings and Lack of Evidence for Extraterrestrial Activity

The Pentagon is investigating around 650 cases of unidentified aerial phenomena, but has found no evidence of extraterrestrial activity, according to Sean Kirkpatrick, director of the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office. Approximately half of the reports have been prioritized for further review, but many cases may remain unresolved due to a lack of hard data. Kirkpatrick cautioned that foreign capabilities could be at play, but there is no evidence that unexplained events were caused by Russian or Chinese technology.
