
Flag-football pioneer surprised with Super Bowl tickets by Goodell
Lamont Jones, longtime Rockford Park District GM who expanded youth flag football, was surprised by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell with two tickets to Super Bowl LX before the Bears' playoff win over the Packers; Goodell praised his community work, including launching girls flag football leagues in Rockford and helping Illinois sanction the sport, while four Rockford-area flag teams performed at halftime at Soldier Field.
