
Kentucky town evacuated and fire extinguished after train derailment
The evacuation order has been lifted after a train derailed in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. Two molten sulfur cars were breached and spilled, releasing toxic sulfur dioxide gas. Air monitoring has shown no detectable readings of chemicals in Livingston since 7:00 a.m. Thursday, and the fire resulting from the derailment has been extinguished. The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
