Waze has expanded its 'Conversational Reporting' feature, allowing users to report road hazards using natural voice commands, making it easier to share real-time updates while driving. The feature, initially in limited beta, is now being broadly rolled out, though some bugs and notification issues remain.
Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux has declared a weather emergency due to the storm and power outages impacting the area. A powerful storm with winds of up to 80 mph knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses, and stopped flights at Shreveport Regional Airport. The vast majority of damage reports seems to be road hazards with downed trees littering the ground, making it difficult and even dangerous for drivers. Bossier Parish officials are encouraging residents to be patient and stay off the roads while emergency responders do their jobs.
