Milwaukee Hosts Vaccination Clinic After Hepatitis A Exposure at Local Cafe
The Milwaukee Health Department is conducting an emergency vaccination clinic for individuals potentially exposed to hepatitis A at Beans & Barley restaurant between October 31 and November 13. An employee tested positive for the virus, prompting the clinic to offer vaccines, which can prevent illness if administered within two weeks of exposure. The restaurant remains open, and the risk to the public is considered low. Health officials advise those exposed to get vaccinated and monitor for symptoms, while those already vaccinated do not need another dose.
