"Bloody Repolling Ordered in West Bengal Panchayat Elections Amidst Escalating Violence"
The State Election Commission (SEC) has ordered repolling in 697 out of 61,636 booths where panchayat polls were held in West Bengal, following violence during the elections. The repolling will be conducted under heavy security, with each booth having eight armed personnel. The final turnout for Saturday's polls stood at 81%, with East Midnapore recording the highest turnout. The repolling results are expected on Tuesday.
