"Apple's Self-Repair Program Now Includes M3-Powered Macs"

Apple is expanding its self-service repair program to include M3 iMac, 14-inch MacBook Pro, and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, allowing customers to purchase genuine Apple parts and tools and access repair manuals. The company has also added parts for these models to its self-service repair store in the U.S. and select European countries, and will make Apple Diagnostics available for M3 Macs in the U.S. early next month. Additionally, Apple is simplifying the System Configuration process for all Mac models in countries where the self-service repair program is available.

Samsung's Self-Repair Program Expands Globally, Now Includes Foldable Phones

Samsung is expanding its self-repair program to include more devices and additional countries. The program, launched in partnership with iFixit, will now offer parts and repair manuals for Samsung's newest models, including foldable phones like the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5. The program will also cover the flagship S23 models, mid-range phones like the Galaxy A05s, and tablets and laptops. The expansion will bring the repair program to 30 additional countries, totaling 43 countries where Samsung users can access self-repair options. However, it is unclear if iFixit is still involved in this expansion.
